Updated: May 20, 2022

Ella Henderson is the stage name of the songwriter Gabriella Michelle Henderson. Her debut studio album, Chapter One, was released on October 10, 2014.

Henderson, who was born on January 12th, 1996, in the Lincolnshire village of Tetney, attended Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire before entering The X Factor as a 16-year-old in 2012. Her breathtaking voice and natural poise made her a front-runner – Adele called her "absolutely incredible" – she settled at sixth place.

Her new track, "Brave," is from her long-awaited second album, "Everything I Didn't Say. She explained, " this new track is a powerful song about conquering the stigma of seeking help and accepting help when you need it the most". The song release was accompanied with an official video – directed by Video Producer Talor Hanson – the lyrics, written by Fred Ball, Ella Henderson, Jennifer Decilveo & Jordan Riley accompany the story of a single mother struggling to cope with the rigors of every day life. Ella's debut album, released back in 2012, depicts experiences of heartbreak, love, and self-worth.

Ella made a landmark performance in 2021, which included performing in the star-studded KSI Show alongside Yungblud and Anne-Marie, joining forces with French DJ duo Ofenbach ('Hurricane'). Taking the stage at the National Anthem at Wembley Stadium to open the Women's FA Cup Final and the Paralympic Team GB Homecoming Celebration. Among many of her numerous performance acts, she sang- 'Risk It All' - her collaboration with House G.

Ella, who was recently named a Teenage Cancer Trust ambassador, continues to use her platform to support causes close to her heart. Her recent activities include: participating last year's BBC Children in Need fundraising launch, supporting Mind's 'Join the Fight for Mental Health' campaign, and performing during Attitude Magazine's virtual 'Pride at Home' festival, which benefits LGBTQ causes through the Attitude Magazine Foundation.

Lyrics From Lyric Find

Oh, darling, dry your eyes It'll be alright, just look to the sky now Come and lay here in my arms I can feel your heart I'm by your side now

Now I'll handle your fears for you Cry your tears for you When the rain keeps falling down I'm standing right here for you when the rain keeps falling

When trouble wrecks your heart And the world's gone dark And your soul is black and blue We still got love to give Got a lot to live for, we'll pull through Brave, I'll be brave Whoa, you can pray for me, I'm gon' pray for you And even when it hurts, baby, I'll be brave for you (brave) So, baby, I'll be brave for you (brave)

Oh, darling, just hold my hand Even when the lights are blinding Now take on the bitter pain I'll do what it takes to see you smiling

No mountain that I wouldn't climb for you I will rise for you 'til your heart's desire And I'll open the sky for you, set the rain on fire (fire) When trouble wrecks your heart And the world's gone dark And your soul is black and blue We still got love to give Got a lot to live for, we'll pull through Brave, I'll be brave Whoa, you can pray for me, I'm gon' pray for you And even when it hurts, baby, I'll be brave for you (brave) So, baby, I'll be brave for you (brave)

I'm gon' be brave I'm gon' be brave I'm gon' be brave I'm gon' be brave No mountain that I wouldn't climb for you I'll open the sky for you, oh

When trouble wrecks your heart And the world's gone dark And your soul is black and blue We still got love to give Got a lot to live for, we'll pull through Brave, I'll be brave Whoa, you can pray for me, I'm gon' pray for you And even when it hurts, baby, I'll be brave for you (brave) So, baby, I'll be brave for you

I'll be brave, I'll be brave So, baby, I'll be brave for you
