After our last expose on Amelia Moore, a lot has been going with the pop star. She released "Crybaby" - April 15, 2022, her third track to her album- 'Teaching A Robot To Love'. "Do you like to make me cry, baby?" the singer and songwriter asks singing, wearing her emotions on her sleeves, as she questions the source of her ongoing anguish.
Collaborating on "Crybaby" with Pink Slip and Inverness, who served as producers, the track follows "Moves" and "Vinegar," which she released earlier this year.
Moore's single was first teased on TikTok, where she has over half a million followers under the handle icryatwork. Since its release, the clip teaser has earned over 1.2 million views.
Amelia Moore's debut EP, 'Teaching a Robot to Love', seventh track to her album, released this week - June 3, 2022." The dream like photo cover, music video directed by Sam Cannon, brings the EP's photo cover design to life, with Moore passionatly singing to the artificial object.
She shares “This project is the culmination of first love, first loss and the recognition that love is what separates us from the robots,” Moore manages to make a stunningly seamless shift between pop, RnB, and electronic musical beats.
Lyrics by Genius.com
[Verse 1]
Tears fall like acid rain
Make me disintegrate
You're so untouchable, I'm such a fool
To reach out while I circle the drain
I'm caught in your underflow
Ever since you said, "Hello"
Now it's only goodbyes
With everyone, you twist the knife, oh, I need to know
[Chorus]
Do you like to make me cry, baby?
'Cause you do it all the time, baby
When did God give you control of the rain?
Don't you call me fucking crazy, baby
If I am, that's what you made me, baby
How can you watch makeup running down my face?
[Post-Chorus]
Do you love it when I cry?
You love it, love it when I cry
[Verse 2]
Oh, see it now for what it really is
In your bed and you out on the fence
Take it all when all I do is give
Love and wat, what's the difference?
I showed you my flaws when I thought you cared
Using them against me, that shit ain't fair
Do you care, did you ever care?
I need to know
[Chorus]
Do you like to make me cry, baby?
'Cause you do it all the time, baby
When did God give you control of the rain?
Don't you call me fucking crazy, baby
'Cause if I am, that's what you made me (Baby)
How can you watch makeup running down my face? Oh
[Outro]
You love it, love it when I cry
You love it, love it when I cry
You love it, love it when I cry
You love when I cry, cry, cry, cry
Thank You for Your Time
