Attention! Homedics has issued a recall on their massagers due to potential fire and burn hazards. It's crucial to take this seriously and ensure the safety of yourself and your loved ones. Please check if you own any of the affected products and follow the necessary steps to prevent any accidents. Your well-being is our top priority!

The HoMedics Therapist Select Massagers with model number HHP-715 are being recalled. These massagers have a power cord that operates on 120 VAC and 60 HZ. The product is black in color and has a handle, housing, and massage head attached to the end. The word "HoMedics" is printed on the side of the barrel. Additionally, the massager comes with four interchangeable massage heads.

Please note that only products manufactured before the end of 2022 are included in this recall. To determine the manufacturing date, you can find a date code on a sticker located on the underside of the product's barrel. The date code consists of a 4-digit number WWYY, where WW represents the sequential week of the year and YY represents the last two digits of the manufacturing year. Only products with a YY of 20, 21, or 22 are affected by this recall.

Approximately 46,000 of these massagers were distributed, with an additional 41,000 sold in Canada. If you happen to own one of the recalled massagers, it is crucial that you cease using or charging it immediately. Your safety is our top priority, which is why we urge you to get in touch with Homedics right away.

Homedics will provide you with detailed instructions on how to obtain a full refund or a refund in the form of a credit towards any Homedics product. And here's the cherry on top - you'll even receive a 20% bonus!

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, up to 17 reports were received regarding the massagers overheating. One unfortunate incident resulted in a burn to a consumer's thumb. We want to prevent any further injuries, so please take action promptly.

These massagers were sold at various reputable retailers such as Macy's, BJ's Wholesale Club, Lowe's, JCPenney, The Home Depot, and online platforms including Homedics.com, Macys.com, BJs.com, Lowes.com, HomeDepot.com, and Amazon.com. The sale period spanned from September 2020 through November 2023, with an average price of around $100. The importer responsible for these products is FKA Distributing Co. LLC, also known as Homedics, based in Commerce Township, Michigan.
