Fight the Power by Flavor Flave, Chuck D of the group Public Enemy, Nas, YG, Black Thought & Rapsody

"Fight the Power" is a track put together by an American hip hop group Public Enemy. The song was released as a single on July 4th 1989 on Motown Records. The idea was created at the request of well known film director Spike Lee , who wanted a musical theme for his 1989 film "Do The Right Thing". The single included snippets of African American culture, the civil rights movement, philosophical thoughts and and other influential artists and musicians.


Fast forward to the year 2020, Flavor Flave and Chuck D of the group Public Enemy joined with rappers: Nas, YG, Black Thought and Rapsody to create a remix of the hit song “Fight The Power”
