Tyla Brings the Heat with New Single "Bliss" After Stellar Year of Breakthroughs and Global Acclaim

Following her explosive success in 2024, where she ruled the charts, stages, and red carpets worldwide, GRAMMY®-winning artist Tyla has embarked on a new journey with the release of her eagerly awaited single, 'Bliss.' Crafted by the talented trio of Nolan Lambroza, Dylan Wiggins, and the renowned production duo Nova Wav, this sultry track is now available for streaming and signifies a daring sonic transformation for the South African star.

Tyla first introduced 'Bliss' to her fans during her electrifying performance at Coachella's second weekend, igniting a surge of excitement that grew even stronger after she shared the single's provocative cover art on social media. This mysterious reveal quickly gained traction, amassing over 500,000 likes on Instagram and generating hundreds of thousands of views on X (formerly Twitter).

With her new single officially released, fans can look forward to Tyla performing 'Bliss' live at New York City's Governors Ball, where she is set to take the stage on Friday during the festival weekend—marking her first significant performance since Coachella.

Over a week ago, Tyla made a stunning return to the Met Gala, not only as an attendee but also as a member of the 2025 host committee, enhancing her profile at one of fashion's most illustrious events. Wearing a bespoke Jacquems gown styled by Law Roach, Tyla paid tribute to the late fashion legend André Leon Talley, earning accolades from VOGUE, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and others. Fans can catch a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes excitement on Vogue’s Last Looks.

Alongside the release of her album 'Bliss,' she revealed a collaboration with Erewhon, the popular L.A. grocery store, to create a limited edition 'Bliss Smoothie.' The profits from this smoothie will support 18twenty8, a charity focused on empowering young women in South Africa, highlighting Tyla's dedication to her community.

Bliss by Tyla is a signature smoothie from Erewhon's Tonic Bar, crafted with MALK Organic Coconut Milk and Vita Coco Farmer's Organic Coconut Water. This vibrant blend includes organic hibiscus tea, mango, and pineapple, enhanced with vanilla collagen and dragonfruit coconut cream. Certified organic ingredients ensure purity and quality.

Tyla's debut album, TYLA, made waves by becoming the highest-charting debut for an African female solo artist on the Billboard 200, driven by the viral hit 'Water.' This track also earned her the first-ever GRAMMY Award for Best African Music Performance in 2024, and she continues to soar from there.

From BET Awards to MTV VMAs and Billboard Women in Music, where she was honored with the Impact Award, Tyla continues to be recognized not just for her music, but for her influence on the global stage.

In a recent interview with Billboard, the 22-year-old artist opened up about the evolution of her sound and her perspective heading into her next era:

“I’ve changed a lot in a short amount of time because I was kind of forced to – with how fast I had to adapt to everything... I don’t think it’s going to be the same energy at all, especially with what I’ve started making. It’s different, but also still Tyla.”

"Bliss" is a track that expresses heartfelt profound love and emotional reliance on a lover. The lyrics convey a deep-seated fear of losing this person, underscoring how their presence illuminates, completes, and enchants the singer's existence. The frequent mentions of 'bliss' and 'paradise' underscore the euphoric joy that the relationship brings—an affection so deep that the singer asserts they have never encountered anything quite like it before.

Phrases such as 'You're the Coke to my Hennessy' illustrate a flawless, intoxicating pairing. In essence, the song depicts an all-encompassing bond where the mere thought of parting feels intolerable, and the partner is viewed as vital to the singer's joy and mental well-being.

Stream “Bliss” now and catch Tyla live at Governors Ball this weekend.
