Wishing to connect with your academic mind

You possess great intellectual prowess

While I excel in my own unique ways.

Your knowledge of the world cuts through me

Making me question if I am truly deserving of your time

I feel awkward and strange, like an eerie figure lurking in the shadows

I sense you are interested in me

I desire you desperately

The longing and pain intensifies each passing day
