Description: Often dreams turn into concepts for my paintings. However, I paint an interpretation of my dream rather than the dream itself.

The two figures in my dream were in a strange place. As soon as I woke up, I made a line drawing of the then vivid dream and put it away.

Every time I chanced upon the sketch it made me think and years later I realized that it was a flight into the future linked to a shift of residence which is a stressful job for us in Mumbai, India.

When I finally found the new house, I remembered this dream and realized that a Guardian Angel was showing me the place where I would eventually shift.

DETAIL: There is the clock with wings as the hands of the clock. This suggests the flight into future times.

The placement of the walls is suggestive of a room or a place to stay.

The stones lying around seem to say that the place is unoccupied for a long time.

The open starry sky at the top tells me of a very open to nature type of place.

The lines on the floor are like advancing roots which have reached far into a new place.

The ethereal feel I gave to the painting is because I felt I got help from beyond. And the place I moved to and renovated had all the qualities I have described.

BENEFIT: Everything has been planned for us and that’s the way it will unfold, so we need not stress, just work towards the goal and leave it at that. I hope that the viewers of this painting agree with me.
