Tragically, he succumbed to professional jealousy after being sidelined by Lin Qi, the gaming tycoon and owner of Yoozoo Games, who is often referred to as China's "billionaire millennial." Lin Qi was the rightful owner of the film adaptation rights for the Chinese science fiction epic.

The court's verdict shed light on Xu Yao's motive for committing the heinous crime of murdering Lin Qi. It was a shocking turn of events that has left fans of the series both enthralled by the show's success and deeply saddened by the tragic real-life events that unfolded alongside it.

Within a few short months after this perceived offense, Lin tragically met his demise. The court, just last week, labeled the poisoning plot against him as both "premeditated" and "extremely despicable." Some sources claim that Xu established a company in Japan to obtain dangerous substances, which he then tested on animals. To deceive Lin, Xu disguised these substances as probiotic pills and gave them to him.
