Asia Pacific Airlines faces proposed penalties of $2.9 million by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Additionally, they are facing a penalty of $64,000 for their alleged failure to document engine monitoring and assess engine reliability for their Boeing 757 aircraft used in Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Performance Standards (ETOPS).

The Asia Pacific Airlines of Honolulu, Hawaii is facing some serious consequences as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes five civil penalties amounting to a staggering $2.9 million. Let's take a closer look at the cases involved. In the first case, the FAA is seeking a penalty of $2,436,850. It is alleged that the airline used unqualified pilots on 163 Boeing 757 flights between December 20, 2022, and February 1, 2023.

Surprisingly, the company was notified by the FAA on December 16, 2022, about the pilots' lack of qualifications, but they still chose to continue using them. Moving on to the second case, the FAA is seeking a penalty of $250,000.

It is alleged that the airline operated Boeing 757 aircraft on 121 flights without proper authorization from an individual who had the authority to exercise operational control over those flights.

These flights took place between December 20, 2022, and February 1, 2023.

Asia Pacific Airlines has been hit with a hefty fine of $150,000 for reportedly operating 30 flights with Boeing 757 aircraft that did not meet the necessary conditions and limitations when certain equipment was out of service.

Additionally, they are facing a penalty of $64,000 for their alleged failure to document engine monitoring and assess engine reliability for their Boeing 757 aircraft used in Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Performance Standards (ETOPS). This violation occurred between August 20, 2021, and November 22, 2021.

Furthermore, they are accused of neglecting to remove an engine that exceeded allowable temperatures during a flight on July 21, 2022, resulting in another penalty. Lastly, Asia Pacific Airlines is also facing an $8,000 fine for alleged violations of safety risk management regulations. The airline now has 30 days to respond to the FAA's enforcement letters.
